You stay in loose comfortable clothing on a mat or table, and the therapist uses palms, thumbs, forearms and feet to apply rhythmic pressure along the body's energy lines while guiding you through assisted yoga-style stretches. It is active, invigorating bodywork rather than a passive rest.
You will be shown to a private room with an attached shower. Tell your therapist at the start where you are carrying tension and whether you want light, medium or firm pressure — and say so any time during the session if you want it changed. Fresh linen, towels and disposable undergarments are provided for every guest.
